Shivaya Jan Lok Seva Samiti

Water Tank sanitation

Uttarakhand is a water-rich state with the presence of powerful glaciers and perennial rivers. Furthermore, due to its topography, the state receives good rainfall. The irony is that while Uttarakhand meets the water demand of other states of North India, the natives of Uttarakhand are facing water crisis, especially related to drinking water. Being a hilly state and having uneven terrain, the situation becomes more complex in terms of water availability for the rural population in remote areas.

Ensuring access to fresh and clean water for everyone is a critical aspect of sustainable development and a fundamental human right. Achieving this goal requires a comprehensive and multi-faceted approach, considering various factors such as infrastructure, sanitation, hygiene, and community engagement. We Shivaay Jan Lok Sewa Samiti work towards providing fresh and clean water to everyone.

During the Corona period, when the whole world was imprisoned in their homes, our meamber Virendra Verma and our team were cleaning the water tanks of various villages of Jaunpur area.
